More than 100,000 Mazda mild hybrid electric vehicles have been recalled due to a safety defect that could increase the risk of a crash.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the affected products potentially have " an inaccurate fuel gauge" that "may result in the vehicle unexpectedly running out of fuel and stalling."
According to the NHTSA, a total of 104,854 vehicles are potentially affected.

The NHTSA said notification letters will be mailed on Nov. 1, 2025.
Owners can get an update of the body control module software for free at the dealer. Mazda can also be contacted via phone at 1-800-222-5500, Option 6.
