A Clinton Township man accused of assaulting another resident and his wife has been charged, officials said.

Kurt Studing, 66, was arraigned Monday in 41B District Court on charges of assault with intent to murder and assault and battery, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office said.

A magistrate set his bond at $500,000 and scheduled his next court hearing for Sept. 22, according to court records.

If convicted, Studing faces up to life in prison for the assault with intent to murder charge and up to 93 days in jail for the assault and battery charge.
