Southern football coach Terrence Graves announced Tuesday that he has decided to name tight ends coach Fred McNair co-offensive coordinator and he will handle play-calling duties moving forward.
Graves revealed his decision during his weekly press conference, saying that McNair will be co-offensive coordinator alongside Mark Frederick, who had handled play calls on offense through the first three games of the season.
The Southern offense has been inconsistent through the first three weeks of the season, playing a role in the Jaguars' disappointing 1-2 start.
McNair served as the head coach at Alcorn State for eight seasons prior to joining the Jaguars prior to the 2024 campaign.
