Jones impressed with coach’s debut

The Cowboys opened the 2025 season under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, falling just short in a 24-20 loss to the Eagles on opening night. While the scoreboard didn’t tilt in Dallas’ favor, owner Jerry Jones wasn’t discouraged.

Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Jones praised Schottenheimer’s preparation and first game in charge. “I thought he gave us a chance to win that game,” Jones said. “That’s what we ask for, be in it at the end. I thought he did a great job.”
