HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently announced that a first-of-its-kind American tin processing facility is coming to Henry County, with hopes of creating around 118 new jobs.

Youngkin announced "Tin Ridge" on Tuesday, Sept. 9, revealing that $65 million is expected to be invested in the project by Nathan Trotter, a top supplier and recycler of tin and tin alloy products throughout North America.

The 115,000-square-foot tin processing facility will be situated on a 44-acre site north of Martinsville, and is expected to provide 118 new jobs, according to a release.
