Youngstown State quarterback Beau Brungard was named the FCS Stats Perform National Offensive Player of the Year.

He rushed for 264 yards to set YSU and Missouri Valley Football Conference records for a quarterback in a 56-17 victory over Robert Morris. He carried the ball 10 times in under three quarters of action, with a long of 78 yards and a 72-yarder as one of his four touchdown runs. He also completed 12 of 16 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.
