The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster will be hosting Dr. Greg Skomal of the Massachusetts Shark Research Program on Thursday, September 18. Doors will open for wine and hors d’oeuvres at 6 PM, followed by the lecture at 6:30.
For the last 16 years Skomal has been studying the life history, ecology and behavior of white sharks off the coast of Cape Cod and beyond. In doing so, he has tagged more than 300 white sharks with a variety of state-of-the art technologies that drill deeper into how this predator hunts seals off the coastline and strives to reduce the incidence of human-shark interactions.
