After Alabama football’s embarrassing loss to Florida State in Week 1, a video clip of Bray Hubbard began circulating on the internet. In a game where the Crimson Tide failed to show defensive effort , perhaps the most damning element of the loss, Hubbard became one of the poster children for not hustling to the ball.
A week later, during the Crimson Tide’s 73-0 win over Louisiana-Monroe, there was no more jogging on tape. Hubbard was flying around the field, registering three solo tackles before UA went to mostly backups in the second half.
