ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Asheville Police Department said that a man was arrested following a fatal car crash on Monday afternoon.

Officials responded to a motor vehicle collision with injuries in the 1500 block of Patton Avenue around 1:02 p.m. on Sept. 8.

Police said that the preliminary investigation indicated that a 2016 GMC Sierra Pickup Truck, operated by 35-year-old Adam Christopher Kane, was traveling westbound on Patton Avenue when it crossed left of center. Kane’s truck collided with a 2004 Lexus RX330 SUV traveling eastbound on Patton Avenue. A 2012 Volvo S60 Sedan was also traveling east on Patton Avenue and collided with the rear of the Lexus SUV.
