BOOTHBAY, Maine — Tickets for Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens’ annual Gardens Aglow display go on sale Sept. 10, marking the return of one of the state’s most popular seasonal light shows.

This year’s theme, "Nature in Motion," will feature glowing versions of native Maine wildlife hidden along the route, the gardens announced in a press release. The exhibit will also include immersive installations by Portland-based PORTL&, a design group incorporating biodegradable thermoplastics and overwater lasers.

“PORTL& is excited to reimagine spaces with new technologies for the upcoming 2025 Gardens Aglow,” Faye Warner, the company’s co-founder, said in the release. “We blur the lines between reality, technology, and magic.”
