Anthony Volpe has struggled all season for the New York Yankees, and with the postseason approaching, the Yankees may need to make a change.

Volpe is hitting just .207 and has a glaring 19 errors. His bat was not great coming into the season, but the former Gold Glove Award winner has not given the Yankees much reason to keep him in the lineup for his defense, either.

A couple of weeks ago, the Yankees benched Volpe in favor of Jose Caballero, but Volpe soon returned to the starting role. His struggles have continued, and with the postseason so close, the New York Post's Joel Sherman predicted the Yankees would bench Volpe in October, similar to how Aaron Boone played Kyle Higashioka more than Gary Sánchez in the 2021 postseason.
