NEWBURYPORT — Pouring rain didn’t deter dozens of people from attending Sunday’s Field of Honor, honoring those who died during 9/11, the terrorist attacks on New York City, Washington, D.C., and rural Pennsylvania almost 24 years ago. The ceremony was held under a tent adjacent to a sea of American flags planted in neat rows last week by the Exchange Club of Greater Newburyport and others. Among those who attended were Mayor Sean Reardon and state Sen. Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester.
