Lainey Wilson sits on the front porch of her Nashville home on a Friday afternoon, petting her dogs.

It's a rarity at present — a few consecutive days off the road — and one of country music's reigning "it girls" is taking full advantage of it.

Back on the tour bus this week, she headed to her favorite place, Louisiana. A 14-year Nashvillian though she is, the Bayou State will always be home. The singer-songwriter native of Baskin, 33, will play two shows on Thursday and Friday at the Raising Cane's River Center Arena in Baton Rouge before her next stop, Bossier City, for a Saturday night performance at Brookshire Grocery Arena.

It's all in support of her latest album, "Whirlwind," released in August 2024, its 14 tracks a reflection of her rise to fame.
