THE San Francisco 49ers brutally cut Jake Moody on Tuesday, having backed the kicker just one day prior.

Moody lasted just two seasons and one game in the NFL before being waived by San Francisco .

On Monday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that there was "no question" that Moody would remain as their kicker.

However, less than 24 hours later, the 25-year-old finds himself without a team, as reported by Tom Pelissero on X .

This is especially interesting when you consider that San Francisco have no other kickers on their roster or practice squad.

Moody had a pretty promising start to his NFL career.

He had a field goal percentage of 84% during the regular season of his rookie year.

However, it all started to crumble during the 2023 playoffs.
