A 14-year-old boy, out on a judicial release order, has been charged with attempted murder following a double shooting in Scarborough that left two young men with serious injuries.

Toronto Police announced his arrest Tuesday, less than a week after obtaining a judicial authorization to identify the accused youth.

Police said officers responded to a shooting call on Aug. 31 at approximately 5:10 p.m. in the Danforth Rd. and Eglinton Ave. E. area.

Cops allege that a young person, in possession of a firearm, went to a residence in the area. He fired shots at two men, striking both of them.

The young person then fled the area, police said.

The victims, 21 and 22 years old, were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, cops added.
