Kieran Scott reflected on what he described as a ‘gruelling’ transfer window, believing Middlesbrough ticked all the boxes they wanted to this summer.

After a slower start than was hoped for, Boro ended up making 11 new signings to add to Rob Edwards’ squad, as just as many players departed the club. It’s reflective of a squad that was in need of change after last season’s disappointments.

While certainly not an easy window to navigate through, Boro’s head of football feels they emerged from it having achieved from it what they hoped to. After what has also been a really positive start on the pitch too, he’s now hoping the club can kick-on with their ambitions to reach the Premier League .
