One of the three teenagers who allegedly took part in a shooting that killed University of Massachusetts Amherst student Eric M. Tarpinian-Jachym is a suspect in a 2023 double homicide in Washington, D.C., according to court records.
In an arrest affidavit filed in D.C. Superior Court, authorities also wrote that one of the rifles used during the June 30 gunfight has been ballistically matched to a separate homicide in Waldorf, Md. All of the suspects in that case are in custody, officials said.
Authorities last week arrested two 17-year-olds , Jailen D. Lucas and Kelvin Thomas Jr., and charged them as adults with first-degree murder in the death of Tarpinian-Jachym.
