NATCHITOCHES, La. (KSLA) - A teenager has been arrested after allegedly accidentally shooting someone on the campus of Northwestern State University.

The Natchitoches Police Department says the shooting happened late Monday night (Sept. 8) in the 3000 block of University Parkway.

Around 10:30 p.m., officers with the police department, sheriff’s office, and campus police responded to a home after getting reports that someone had been shot.

When officers got there, they found the victim and started life-saving measures. The victim was then airlifted to a hospital in Alexandria. They’re currently listed in stable condition, police say.
