The Chicago Bulls and restricted free agent point guard Josh Giddey have agreed to a massive new contract after a lengthy negotiation process.

Giddey is the second of four major restricted free agents this summer to agree to a deal following a protracted, often tense stand-off with his incumbent team.

Things were not nearly as rosy for Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Cam Thomas, who opted to pick up his qualifying offer for 2025-26 so that he could hit unrestricted free agency as soon as possible, rather than agree to a long-term deal with Brooklyn. The Nets, for their part, seemed disinterested in locking him down, too.

Golden State Warriors power forward Jonathan Kuminga and Philadelphia 76ers guard Quentin Grimes are the two remaining restricted free agents who have yet to agree to term
