The Chicago Bulls and restricted free agent point guard Josh Giddey have agreed to a massive new contract after a lengthy negotiation process.
Giddey is the second of four major restricted free agents this summer to agree to a deal following a protracted, often tense stand-off with his incumbent team.
Things were not nearly as rosy for Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Cam Thomas, who opted to pick up his qualifying offer for 2025-26 so that he could hit unrestricted free agency as soon as possible, rather than agree to a long-term deal with Brooklyn. The Nets, for their part, seemed disinterested in locking him down, too.
