A Blount County Jail corrections officer accused of exchanging child pornography with multiple underage girls made plans to meet a 12-year-old girl at a high school football game in Blount County, said District Attorney Pamela Casey.

Christopher Thomason, 42, is not a state-certified officer, Casey said, but was in the law enforcement academy in Jefferson County, which is where he was arrested Tuesday morning.

As he was being arrested, investigators carried out a search warrant Tuesday morning at Thomason’s Blount County home.

Thomason is charged with multiple counts of dissemination or public display of child sex abuse material, possession or possession with intent to distribute child abuse material, transmitting obscene material to a child by computer and electronic solicitation of a
