WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Westfield Police Department is seeking to identify a suspect who allegedly stole a wallet at Dollar General.

Police said that at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, a suspect was inside Dollar General, located at 617 Southampton Road. While the man was waiting in line at the register, the individual in front of him reportedly dropped their wallet on the floor without noticing.

The suspect then allegedly picked up the wallet, put it in his pocket, and exited the building. Westfield Police said that as of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the wallet has not been turned in to the store or the police department. • (Westfield Police Department) • (Westfield Police Department)
