DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) -- Police in Durham on Tuesday announced an arrest in a high-profile June shooting that injured two 17-year-olds at a high school graduation party along Fayetteville Street.
The shooting happened just before midnight on June 16 while several people gathered in the front yard of a home in the 3200 block of Fayetteville Street, according to the Durham Police Department.
Several gunshots were fired at the front of the home, causing partygoers to flee or run inside the house, police said.
A girl and a boy -- both 17 -- were shot and taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
A bullet hit the side of a neighbor’s home across the street. Radio dispatch audio indicated shell casings were found in the middle of the street.
