The Miami Dolphins added depth to their offensive line Tuesday, signing Cole Strange off the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad and placing guard James Daniels on injured reserve after he sustained a pectoral injury in Sunday’s 33-8 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1.

Strange, 27, a former first-round pick by New England in 2022, has played in 30 NFL games with 29 starts — mostly at left guard and two at center — during three seasons with the Patriots.

The terms of his deal weren’t immediately released.

The Chattanooga product earned All-America honors in college, where he started 44 games over five seasons.

Daniels, an eight-year veteran, joined Miami in March after stints with Chicago and Pittsburgh.
