LANSING, Mich. — Wolf Harper, a 37-year-old man from Lansing, was sentenced to 83 months in prison for possession and transfer of machine guns and possession of a short-barreled rifle.
The news was announced by Timothy VerHey, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan, on Tuesday.
VerHey said Harper was arrested after he had sold a short-barreled rifle with a silencer, as you can see in the photo above, along with 74 machine gun conversion devices, or auto sears, to an undercover agent.
The machine gun conversion devices enable semiautomatic firearms to fire as fully automatic weapons. This means they can shoot up to 1,000 rounds of ammunition a minute, allowing a magazine to be emptied with a single pull of the trigger, said VerHey.
