Handrail in remote mountains of Snowdonia sparks confusion
Walkers have slammed a new handrail installed on remote Snowdonia mountains - put up over health and safety fears. Hilary Pullen spotted the rope which can be seen lining a steep section of a rocky footpath between Melynllyn and Dulyn reservoirs in the north Eryri mountains.
Officials have confirmed the handrail was put up ''in one of the more challenging parts of this route as part of a package of safety improvements'' for staff working there.
