The Cubs will be without Kyle Tucker until at least next week, as the team placed the All-Star outfielder on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday due to a left calf strain. The move is retroactive to Saturday, meaning he will be eligible to return on Sept. 16 at the earliest.
Tucker hasn't played since Sept. 2 because of the injury. He is hitting .270 with 22 home runs, 73 RBIs and an .854 OPS over 133 games in his first season with the Cubs.
Catcher Moises Ballesteros was recalled from Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding move.
