SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield-Greene County Library District will open its Oh, the Horror! series this year with a special event featuring viral sensation and three-time Bram Stoker Award finalist Eric LaRocca.

LaRocca will unveil his chilling new novel "We Are Always Tender with Our Dead," at Entering Burnt Sparrow: Eric LaRocca’s Transgressive Horror.

In addition to that headline event, the library has a full calendar of activity this week: • Teens Tour the Maker Space: Young visitors can learn about the Library's Maker Space and the “cool machines” available there. • Besties, Beads and Barbie: Participants can craft friendship bracelets while watching Barbie. • Special Storytime with the Willard Fire Department: Featuring a safety segment to check proper installation of car
