ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man accused of hurting a child was arrested on Tuesday, according to the Cartersville Police Department.

Quisean Witherspoon faces charges of first-degree cruelty to children and aggravated battery. The arrest comes after police heard from a mandated reporter, a person whose job requires them to report suspected child abuse.

Police have not released any details about the incident leading to Witherspoon’s arrest.
