BATON ROUGE — LSU football is reportedly dealing with some roster attrition just a couple of weeks into the 2025 college football season .

Backup sophomore defensive tackle Sydir Mitchell is no longer a part of LSU's team , according to a report from the Bengal Tiger On3.

Mitchell transferred to LSU from Texas this offseason to help provide some depth along the defensive line, a unit Tigers coach Brian Kelly and his defensive staff were retooling after some departures from the 2024 team.
