LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Police Department has announced the arrest of a juvenile in connection to a non-fatal shooting in Fern Creek that left a man in the hospital.
The shooting happened on Aug. 4 around 5:45 p.m. in the 8500 block of Carmil Drive.
According to court documents, the unnamed juvenile suspect and others were trying to steal the victim’s car when the car alarm went off, and the victim went outside to confront the suspects. The victim said he then heard someone yell, “Shoot him!” The victim tried to get back inside, but the left side of his face was hit by gunfire as he went through the door to his house. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
