Unionizing Signal Ohio employees walked off the job for two hours Sept. 9 to demand that management voluntarily recognize the online news organization's three sites — Akron, Columbus and Cleveland — as one bargaining unit.

The group announced the action in a news release. Signal Ohio management could not immediately be reached for comment.
