After a longer-than-expected strike seeking better pay and benefits, Boise Cascade workers in Billings will be going back to work this week after reaching an improved deal with the lumber company Friday.
Workers will see roughly a pay increase of 20% over four years compared to the initial offer made by Boise Cascade, with an 11% pay increase in their first year, according to Darren Davis with Teamsters Union Local 190, a group representing several warehouses in Billings.
“It's a nice increase for those guys that have been behind in the pay rate for quite a while,” Davis said in an interview with the Gazette.
