IOWA CITY -- The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is considering adoption of a resolution that condemns more than two dozen executive order signed by President Donald Trump.
The resolution condemns any executive branch actions related to: the freezing of federal funds; establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE); environmental rollbacks; immigration restrictions; rollback of civil rights protections; healthcare directives; and other instances of “abuse of power”.
The resolution contains a list of 26 specific executive orders, organized by category.
