CORALVILLE — The Coralville City Council and mayoral races are starting to heat up as more candidates launch their campaigns a little over a week away from the filing deadline for the November general election.
The Coralville City Council is made up of five at-large council members and a non-voting mayor. Council members serve staggered four-year terms, and the mayor serves a two-year term.
Mayor Meghann Foster and council members Hai Hyunh, Mike Knudson and Laurie Goodrich are up for election this fall.
Foster, who is Coralville’s first female mayor, has announced that she will not seek re-election.
