PULLMAN, Wash. — A vote on whether Washington State University (WSU) will allow alcohol sales at football games is set for Wednesday morning.
The University and vendor Aramark are teaming up to propose a one-year pilot program that would allow the sale of beer and wine at concession stands in the general seating area of Martin Stadium.
People would be able to purchase up to two drinks per transaction, and staff will check IDs before sales.
Under the pilot program, alcohol sales would not be allowed at stands in the student section. The program would also limit guests from re-entering the stadium who may be drinking alcohol outside of the stadium.
Right now, beer and wine are only sold in the suites and club sections of the stadium.
The vote will go before the Washington Liquor and C
