NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The first class of the latest Metro Nashville Police Community Police Academy (CPA) is set to take place on Tuesday.

The 11-week program is designed to give Music City residents the opportunity to learn more about how their local law enforcement agency operates.

Tuesday will mark the start of the 55th CPA session, with its first starting in 1995, per the department.

Participants will meet every Tuesday evening and some Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 400 Myatt Drive. The course is set to run from September 9 through November 18.
