BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The people making decisions about your job, from hiring to workplace rules, are meeting this week in Bismarck to learn how to better support employees.

The North Dakota Society for Human Resource Management is hosting its annual state conference Sept. 9–11 at the Bismarck Event Center. The ND SHRM 2025 Annual State Conference brings together HR leaders from across the state for three days of training, keynote speeches, breakout sessions, and networking.

Organizers say the event matters because HR work can feel isolating, especially in small departments. By connecting with peers, professionals gain fresh ideas and support systems they can take back to their workplaces.
