COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - This Texas A&M football squad is certainly not unfamiliar with No. 8 Notre Dame, after losing to the Fighting Irish 23-13 to open the season last year.

A&M linebacker Scooby Williams, joking, needed a moment to think about whether revenge was on the Aggies’ minds from last year’s matchup.

“Is this live?” Williams asked with a laugh after receiving the question. “I was going to say something. I can’t say what I was going to say, but you guys give me like five minutes.”

However, it isn’t quite the same squad as A&M faced in Kyle Field a year prior. Defensive coordinator Chris Ash took over for Al Golden, who left the Irish after their national runner-up season to take on the same role with the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL.
