LONGVIEW, Texas — A Longview man was sentenced to 40 years in prison Monday for driving intoxicated and killing a pedestrian last year.
Lantz Darensbourg, 47, pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter in the 188th District Court. He was then sentenced to 40 years, according to Gregg County judicial records.
Longview police said on Feb. 24, Darensbourg was driving west on West Hope Drive when he left the roadway and struck a pedestrian and a vehicle. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where they later died.
Police officers determined Darensbourg was driving while intoxicated and we booked into the Gregg County Jail, police said.
