BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A New Orleans man was taken into custody after being accused of murder and attempted robbery.

Keith Augustine, 19, was arrested on several charges, including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and attempted armed robbery.

According to an arrest warrant, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a reported shooting in the 8600 block of Old Hermitage Parkway in January 2024. When they arrived, deputies found a man with gunshot wounds in the doorway of an apartment in the area. The man was identified as Malaakk Ross, 22. Another victim was taken to a local hospital after being hit in the leg by the same gunfire.

Detectives found a gun, a bag of marijuana, a cell phone, and multiple spent shell casings near Ross. Witnesse
