Donald Trump has condemned the shocking killing of a 23-year-old woman in North Carolina, as he took aim at the levels of violent crime in Democrat-led cities.

Iryna Zarutska, a woman from the Ukraine was murdered on August 22 while she was riding a light rail train in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Horrifying footage of the incident showed the passenger in the seat behind her, rise from her seat before stabbing her suddenly with a pocketknife.

The suspect in the case has been identified by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police as 34-year-old Decarlos Brown. He has been charged with first-degree murder, with court records showing he has been committed to a local hospital for at least 60 days for psychiatric evaluation.
