BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — The Bryan County Commission voted Tuesday to roll back the millage rate for the ninth year.
Over the court of nine years, Bryan County has rolled back the rate from 9.5 mills to 5.77 mills. Bryan County has one of the lowest millage rate in the State of Georgia, according to Chairman Carter Infinger.
"Thank you to our staff. It takes a lot to roll back a millage rate," Chairman Infinger said. "This is something to be proud of."
Also, the commission acknowledged that the Bryan County Board of Education adopted a rate of 14.663 mills and 1.50 mills for School Bond Debt Service.
