FARGO — There were a lot of full stomachs after hundreds enjoyed a big lunch.
The United Way of Cass Clay held its annual Gobble it Up event on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
The nonprofit teamed up with Hornbacher’s, where people could stop by any metro location and get a fresh turkey sandwich lunch for $10.
The total raised this year is still being added up. In 2024, the event brought in $39,000.
All the money stays local to benefit the three focuses of the United Way.
“Helping minimize homelessness, it helps stop hunger for those that have hunger issues in the community and it helps lift up families, so that is helping ready kids for school,” said Sandi Piatz, United Way president and CEO.
This marked the 18th year of the Gobble it Up event.
