A Fall River father will spend 20 to 30 years in state prison for sexually molesting his three minor daughters over a nine year period, Bristol District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III said Monday.

Daniel Arruda, 46, was also ordered to register as a sex offender, as part of his sentencing Friday in New Bedford Superior Court, according to court documents.

On July 31, Arruda was found guilty of aggravated rape of a child and multiple counts of indecent assault and battery by a jury in New Bedford Superior Court, Quinn’s office said.

Between 2012 and 2021, Arruda sexually assaulted his three minor daughters during child visitations at his Fall River home.
