Bismarck, N.D. (KXNET) — A man will soon be in federal court after he was arrested for having thousands of inappropriate pictures and videos on his phone.
Joshua Opp recently agreed to plead guilty to two federal charges of receipt and distribution of child pornography and possession of materials containing child pornography.
He and his brother Joel were investigated and charged after investigators say they sent and received several inappropriate messages relating to child sexual abuse.
Opp may receive less than the maximum jail time for the charges.
A spokesperson for the U.S. attorney's office tells KX News that Opp has accepted responsibility and may be given a two-level downward adjustment in his sentencing guideline. Opp will be sentenced in federal court in Bismarck in January.
