COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday night in Richland County.
According to troopers with Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 8:45 p.m. on South Carolina Highway 555, also known as Farrow Road. Two vehicles were involved.
Troopers say a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, traveling north on Farrow Road, crossed the median and struck a 2011 Toyota four-door head on.
The driver of the Trailblazer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota was injured and taken to an area hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
