LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A Las Vegas woman will serve a decade in prison after admitting to selling fentanyl to a victim who later overdosed, government officials said.

Danielle Partington, of Las Vegas, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by four years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. U.S. Department of Justice officials said she sold several fentanyl pills, resulting in a death.

According to a DOJ release, Partington was the victim’s pill supplier, providing pills multiple times from fall 2019 to January 2020. Officials said Partington and a co-conspirator delivered 80 pills containing fentanyl to the victim, who overdosed on them.
