IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa quarterback Mark Gronowski completed just 13 passes in 24 attempts Saturday against Iowa State.

One of the main reasons could be a lack of chemistry with his receievers. Gronowski’s offseason shoulder surgery took him out of spring football.

“I don’t wanna ever make an excuse for it, but not being able to practice with them this spring - throw balls with them - kind of slowed down the process,” Gronowski said Tuesday. “But I feel like we’ve done a really good job of continuing to practice. After practice, getting many more reps.”
