LEVELLAND, Texas -- Cutting horse shows are not just a sport for three young riders, it's helping cut down on their college tuition.

Preslie Green, Stone Snider and Lachelle Defoor received $5,000 in scholarship money a the Panhandle Cutting Horse Association Labor Day Weekend show in Levelland Texas.

"It's a team sport for sure," stated Snider, after he and his horse, Chunkers, received their award. For these young athletes, this is more than a show, it's a way to follow their passion through hard work and dedication. However, for others it's about the love for horses. "I just wanted to show in something and do something with the something I love," Defoor remarked.
