STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- A Columbus developer’s plan to build a four-story hotel on Falling Water Road just north of Ohio 82 has been rejected.
On Sept. 2, Strongsville City Council unanimously voted down a rezoning that would have allowed the hotel, which had been proposed by Trivium Development LLC.
Council’s vote came after residents from the Ledgewood and Valley Creek subdivisions, which are just north of the hotel’s proposed site, objected to the rezoning, as they did at a July council meeting.
“The people that you all represent -- us -- are the ones who have to pay for this if that hotel goes in,” Ken Tocco, a Ridge Creek Road resident, told council Sept. 2.
Council members didn’t explain why they voted against the rezoning at the Sept. 2 meeting. They didn’t return emails seekin
